Hello, my name is Galina Topolchan, and for almost 15 years now, I have been a volunteer at Hesed. Over the years, I have participated in various volunteer activities.
One of my projects is called "Synagogue," where my colleague, also a volunteer, and I host Saturday gatherings for elderly beneficiaries at the synagogue. The day before, we prepare a festive meal, strictly following the traditions of Shabbat. On Saturday, members of the community come together to pray, followed by a festive meal and pleasant conversation.
Another project I am involved in is called "Equal to Equal." My task is to maintain communication with my beneficiaries (currently 7 people), inform them about what is happening in the community, and update them on upcoming events.
I also participate in the project "From Heart to Heart," where we prepare dried fruits for members of the community. We gather together, wash and slice the fruits, and then dry them in special drying machines. The result is a very tasty and healthy treat to accompany tea.
Additionally, I assist the food coordinator in sorting and organizing food vouchers, as well as participate in packing food kits. I help organize events and set up festive tables, as well as perform various tasks at the request of Hesed staff.
Volunteering for me is an opportunity to experience positive emotions while improving the lives of others. I feel joy in helping those in need and receiving gratitude in return. I enjoy being part of a larger volunteer effort, and I am grateful that fate once chose this path for me!

My name is Grunya Varzar, and I am a volunteer at Hesed in Tiraspol. For over 15 years, volunteering has been an integral part of my life, where I find meaning and joy. My journey began with a desire to help those in need, and this realization was a revelation for me.
I hold the “Craftswomen” project close to my heart, where we create cozy items for those in need. The “Warm Kindness” campaign, where I knit socks and slippers, has become a celebration for me, as each stitch represents warmth and care.
Helping distribute matzah and food packages brings me joy, especially when I see the grateful smiles of those receiving help. These moments inspire me to continue my volunteer work.
Volunteering not only allows me to improve others’ lives but also helps me grow as a person. I meet amazing people, and each new acquaintance becomes part of my story.
I believe that every step we take toward kindness makes a difference.

Golubchikova Tatyana joined the volunteer movement thanks to her daughter. She organizes an action called "Kind Warmth", in which volunteers knit socks for those in need. Socks are knitted by all members of the family - Tatyana, her daughter and mother. Also, this action is carried out in the lyceum, where Tatyana works as a teacher. In addition, at the lyceum, Tatyana hosts master classes for students who draw postcards for the elderly for Hanukkah, March 8, and other holidays. She also enjoys participating in the "Cooking Together" online event. Tatyana says that volunteering is the need of her soul, she wants to leave a trace of kindness in this world. Volunteering makes her soul richer, and she feels the satisfaction of being able to help people in need.

Hello, my name is Yefimova Musya Gershkovna, and I am a volunteer at the center. My volunteer work began 25 years ago. Throughout this time, I have been actively involved in the life of Hesed and have helped in various volunteer initiatives.
Among my volunteer duties is assisting in sorting food vouchers by sorting them by dates and surnames. Additionally, I enjoy finding new owners for things, thereby giving them a new life. I am convinced that such help is extremely necessary for those in need.
At the moment, I am involved in most of the actions organized by our center, including the "Craftswomen" projects and, of course, the Day of Good Deeds. But I also pay great attention to preserving Jewish cultural heritage in Transnistria and often suggest various creative initiatives aimed at supporting traditions.
For me, volunteering is an opportunity to bring real benefits to those who need it. Additionally, such activity encourages you to be creative and find solutions in any situation. Well, and, of course, it's an opportunity to meet new people and gain new knowledge!

Hello, my name is Polyakova Nelly. Since childhood, I couldn't pass by others' suffering and always strove to help those in need. This drive led me to medicine. My professional career ended due to my age (I am 87 years old), but the desire to be useful to people remained.
Many community members came to me for consultations, and I was always ready to answer all their questions. So when the idea of creating a medical online project came up, I happily agreed! For over three years now, I have been a volunteer for the "Health Hour" project. As a professional neurologist, I provide consultations and educational work within the project.
I enjoy volunteering because, unlike professional work, it has no age restrictions. You can help others regardless of how old you are. At the same time, you continue to grow and develop, meet new people, and always receive words of gratitude, which support you better than the most modern medicines! Volunteering helps me lead an active life, and even at 87, feel active and in demand!

Hello, my name is Yuri Ailer. I have been a volunteer at the center since 2021. Currently, I am participating in projects such as "Jewish Traditions" and "Synagogue," where I help participants study the Torah and Jewish traditions and holidays.
I also visit the synagogue, where I assist the elders in conducting prayers and observing the necessary traditions. I like to think that through my efforts, I contribute to preserving the rich cultural heritage of our people.
Volunteering has become an opportunity for me to fulfill the main commandment of loving your neighbor. I am convinced that a person's spiritual needs are no less important than physical ones, and with God's help, I strive to meet them.
By becoming a volunteer, I have been able to fulfill my desire to benefit society, but at the same time, I derive immense pleasure from my activities! I am very glad that I once became a member of our friendly volunteer family and invite everyone to join it as well!

Hello everyone! My name is Tatiana Komova, I am 24 years old, and I have been a volunteer for over 3 years. My journey into volunteering began with the “Caring Connection” project, where I participated in distributing smartphones. After interacting with many elderly people, I realized how lonely many of them are, and I wanted to make their lives better.
I started conducting online events and providing technical support for the elderly. Besides technical skills, I also have creative inclinations, so I happily joined the “Handy Hands” and “Craftswomen” projects. I also take part in large-scale events like “Day of Good Deeds.” I believe such events are a great opportunity for those who want to try their hand at volunteering.
For me, volunteering is not only a way to help others but also a means to grow and develop. Here, you will find everything needed for communication and self-improvement. You can make a meaningful contribution even if you’re not a master or an expert, and your opinion and input are always valued. I invite everyone to join our large and friendly volunteer family to grow together and make our world a better place!
