The "Literary Lounge" project was created to combat loneliness among elderly, less mobile community members through regular online literary meetings where participants get acquainted with the works of writers from Transnistria.

Project Description:

As part of the project, regular online meetings are held where speakers introduce listeners to literary figures from Transnistria. Participants also have the opportunity to communicate with each other, which helps to socialize elderly, less mobile community members.

Project Goals:

• Socialization of elderly people;
• Inclusion of elderly people into the modern life of the community;
• Overcoming loneliness among the elderly;
• Familiarization with modern technologies that aid in socialization.

Volunteer Roles:

• Preparing and conducting online meetings;
• Informing and inviting guests to the next meeting;
• Creating a pleasant and positive atmosphere during events;
• Providing technical support for the event.

Project Results:

• More than 200 clients are participants in the project;
• Up to 100 people attend online meetings simultaneously;
• Elderly people develop social connections;
• Participants get acquainted with cultural heritage;
• Elderly people are included in the life of the community;
• The psycho-emotional state of participants improves.
