Project "Bohemia"
Overcoming loneliness among the elderly through art
Project "Bohemia"
Loneliness among the elderly is a significant issue that can greatly improve their emotional well-being and quality of life. In this regard, volunteers make efforts to make the lives of their elderly beneficiaries brighter and more fulfilling. To achieve this goal, the wonderful "Bohemia" project was created, with participants being Hesed clients aged over 65.
Description of the project:
As part of the project, participants regularly attend various concerts free of charge. Assistance in finding events and ensuring free access for the elderly is provided with the support of the Palace of the Republic and the "Veteran" club. Participants can attend concerts at least once a month.
Project goals:
The project promotes socialization among elderly Hesed clients and helps combat loneliness. Moreover, regular attendance of events helps elderly individuals stay informed about cultural activities and feel included in the cultural life of our city.
Role of volunteers:
The project is organized with the support of volunteers whose efforts are directed towards finding opportunities for attending free concerts, contacting clients, meeting and accompanying them to events, as well as providing photographic coverage.
Project results:
At present, the project is highly popular among elderly community members. Attending concerts helps maintain social connections among participants and also fosters the formation of new ones, expanding the network for social interaction. Our beneficiaries express gratitude for the opportunity to attend concerts and note significant progress in combating loneliness and a more positive outlook on life.
