The “Craftswomen” project is reaching new heights! Our volunteers have started making polyester-filled pillows.

To ensure the pillows are soft and comfortable, we need to carefully process the filling. The filling comes from waste materials from a sewing factory, but volunteers know how to transform it into clean polyester by removing fabric remnants. This meticulous task requires time and attention, but it’s worth the effort, as the pillows turn out to be very soft.

Fabric for the future pillows is provided by volunteers as well as caring community members. The finished pillows quickly find their new owners, bringing joy and comfort to homes. Each pillow carries the warmth of the volunteers’ hands and a piece of the soul of those who participated in its creation.

In addition to these wonderful pillows, volunteers also make other useful items to improve the lives of the needy members of the community. Thanks to them, our clients receive unique birthday gifts!

Project goal: Socializing the elderly and engaging the older generation in volunteer activities. Participants assist with clothing repairs and create cozy, necessary items for those in need of support.

Project results: Both clients and volunteers actively and joyfully participate in this project. We have established partnerships with the “Odema” and “IntercenterLux” factories, which provide fabric scraps, padding, thread, and accessories free of charge. We use our creations to congratulate birthday celebrants and distribute them to those in need.
