Festival of Freedom
The Jewish community of Tiraspol celebrated Passover — one of the most important holidays on the Jewish calendar
This year, the Jewish community of Tiraspol celebrated one of the most important and eagerly awaited holidays — Passover — on a grand scale. In anticipation of this festival of freedom, renewal, and joy, volunteers from our center joined the Hesed staff to help prepare festive treats for the Kosher Seders, which took place on Saturday and Sunday.

The holiday tables were filled with all kinds of treats, but the main focus was on the traditional symbols of Passover: the ke'ara (Seder plate) with symbolic foods, matzah, and wine. No Seder is complete without them! Following tradition, participants read the Passover Haggadah, recounting the story of the Exodus of the Jewish people from Egypt. In such moments, the unity and solidarity of our community are especially strongly felt.

After the festive meal, it was time for enjoyable and relaxed conversation. The evening was filled with joy and positive emotions, new acquaintances, and heartfelt communication among friends. Our volunteer Tatyana filmed a video report, which later became the basis for a television segment.
Happy Passover to all! Chag Pesach Sameach!
