The "School Ready" Project
Preparatory Classes for 6-7 years old Children
The "School Ready" project was created to prepare preschoolers for future school education by introducing them to the basics of the school curriculum.
Project Description:
For three months, 6-7-year-old preschoolers attend lessons where they familiarize themselves with the basics of the school curriculum. Through these lessons, they acquire academic knowledge, learn school behavior rules, and develop effective social communication skills, helping them interact well with other children.
Project Goals:
- To teach children new knowledge and skills that will ease their transition into school.
- To develop effective social interaction skills in group settings.
- To facilitate the adaptation process for both parents and children when entering first grade.
- To foster a positive attitude towards learning in children.
Role of Volunteers:
- Developing educational programs.
- Conducting lessons in mathematics, writing, and reading.
- Organizing group activities using principles of informal education.
- Creating a system of rewards and incentives for children to stimulate their interest in learning.
Project Results:
- The project has been active since 2018.
- Over 110 children have completed the preschool preparation course.
- The project has helped form a positive image of school in children.
- Developed social interaction skills.
- Taught the basics of the school curriculum, easing their future education.
