Birthday Celebration
A Celebration for All: Birthday Greetings in the Jewish Community
The "Birthday Celebration" project began in the spring of 2014 as part of the "Path of Kindness" program and has since become a cherished event in the Jewish community. The idea behind the project is to celebrate the birthdays of community members, creating a special festive atmosphere filled with attention and care. Initially, volunteers congratulated seniors with small handmade gifts from children and organized mini-concerts at Hesed.
Over time, the project expanded, and now three large concerts are held each year – in winter, spring, and autumn. The events feature performances by leading soloists from Tashkent theaters, students from vocal and theater studios, as well as the adult and children's dance groups "Shalom" and "Shoshanim." A key aspect of the project is the involvement of children who create and present handcrafted souvenirs to the birthday celebrants, adding warmth and sincerity to the occasion.
The "Birthday Celebration" project helps each participant feel like part of a large family, where their birthday is joyfully celebrated with care and affection. This celebration strengthens community bonds, attracts new volunteers, and provides unforgettable emotions for everyone involved.
