Volunteers from the Jewish Community Center "SHEMESH" in Karaganda organized an inspiring and special event in honor of Hanukkah. The gathering was filled with the joy of the holiday and a recap of the volunteer activities for the financial year 2023. It included the observance of the third day of Hanukkah, the Avdala ceremony, and the celebration of International Volunteer Day.

Volunteers were awarded symbolic gifts for their dedication to helping other members of the community. The Avdala ceremony and the summary brought many emotions and touching moments: a presentation was given, volunteers remembered everyone they had helped, and time was dedicated to shared reminiscence. They shared their emotions, set goals, and outlined tasks for the coming year.

This event was rich and memorable for the volunteers: they revived the history and traditions of Hanukkah, sang Hanukkah songs together with young volunteers from the youth club "Shatil."
