In April, volunteers from our center prepared an exciting virtual journey into the world of the most popular social network, Facebook, for their clients. Seniors showed a keen desire to learn modern technologies and eagerly responded to the volunteers' invitation.

At the meeting, volunteers talked about the features of Facebook and its unlimited possibilities for developing and maintaining social connections. It is no secret that elderly people often find it difficult to master new technologies, which can lead to feelings of insecurity and anxiety. Social networks, however, allow people of all ages to communicate, breaking down barriers and preventing social isolation. Additionally, Facebook and other social networks serve as sources of useful information and new knowledge.

The attendees listened with interest to the volunteers and, under their guidance, acquired useful skills for working on Facebook. Soon, many were able to demonstrate impressive results and confidently handled their smartphones.

Developing a system of informal education for the elderly is an opportunity to realize their potential in the modern information space, discover new talents, and enrich their lives with new knowledge.
