Sukkot Guest
There is a beautiful tradition during Sukkot to visit one another.
From October 21 to 25, volunteers from our center carried out the "Sukkot Guest" campaign, filled with warmth, joy, and connection. During Sukkot, it is customary to visit each other, and our volunteers embraced this tradition by visiting the families of our beneficiaries with friendly visits.
For several days, we visited 10 families, sharing the joy of the autumn holidays, talking about community life and upcoming events, and learning about how our beneficiaries live. Each visit was unique, full of care and attention.
One of the most memorable visits was to Bronislava Mikhailovna. She was born in a small town in a Jewish family and later moved to Bobruisk. In Bronislava’s family, Jewish holidays were celebrated, though she no longer remembers how they were observed. Volunteers shared stories about the traditions and presented her with gifts, congratulating her on the holidays.
Our host treated us to an incredible feast — authentic potato pancakes (draniki), prepared to perfection. We eagerly look forward to future meetings with Bronislava Mikhailovna and our other beneficiaries!
