Shabbat Outreach for Hesed Clients

As part of the "Shabbat Guest" project, our center's volunteers visit isolated and homebound Hesed clients three times a month to welcome Shabbat together.

As part of the "Shabbat Guest" project, our center's volunteers visit isolated and homebound Hesed clients three times a month to welcome Shabbat together and immerse in the beloved holiday's atmosphere. This initiative allows those who cannot attend community events due to various circumstances to still observe traditions.

This year, the project's reach expanded, allowing residents not only from Bryansk but also from Surazh to celebrate Shabbat with our volunteers. The volunteers eagerly visited their wards, helping them set up a festive table and adhere to all important traditions.

Hesed clients were delighted by the volunteers' presence and the wonderful atmosphere they created. For elderly and isolated individuals, simple human attention is as important as the festive meals. Friendly conversations, smiles, and laughter filled the Shabbat gatherings. Thanks to our volunteers, these lonely and homebound individuals felt like part of a large and friendly family—our community!

A huge thank you to the volunteers who participated in this initiative! Your care brought the joyful Shabbat atmosphere to our clients in different cities!
