Shabbat - More Than Just a Day Off
November 10th was a special day, full of emotions and impressions!
Volunteers from the Volunteer Center RVC in Tiraspol once again overcame the distance and gathered with members of our community in Grigoriopol.
Shabbat is more than just a day off for Jews. It is a time when they set aside regular daily activities to dedicate it to God and to spend time with loved ones. On this day, we gathered together to share joy and support each other.
Natalia Britova, our wonderful host, lit the Shabbat candles and recited the blessings. Then we sat down to the table and began to talk, discussing community news and events. It was so nice to see smiles on the faces of everyone present, to feel the warmth and friendly atmosphere.
But, of course, we couldn't forget about the events of Kristallnacht. On this day, we remembered the tragedy that happened many years ago and honored the memory of the victims.
Then came the moment when each of us began to share our life moments. This evening became a real celebration of memories, where we laughed, cried, and shared our stories. We became even closer to each other, spending a wonderful time in pleasant conversation.
