Shabbat for the elderly and volunteers

Shabbat was held online for Hesed volunteers and elderly clients.

The regular meeting of the Sabbath Queen within the framework of the "Origins of Mercy" project was interesting and heartwarming. As always, our volunteers did not stand aside – traditionally, Lilia Braga lit the Shabbat candles and read the blessings, and Vita Kameneva introduced us to such personalities as Balak, the king of Moab, and the prophet Balaam. Thanks to our esteemed volunteers, the participants learned why after Balaam, G-d no longer gave the gift of prophecy to non-Jews and why he sent an epidemic to the Jewish people. We also read and discussed morality Jewish parables and just enjoyed conversations.
