Presentation of commemorative medals and certificates to ghetto prisoners

With the initiative of the Union of Israeli Veterans and with the funds from the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress was issued an anniversary commemorative medal in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Day of the Victory. The medal with the coat of arms of Israel was accompanied by a certificate signed by Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz.
At the beginning of September, David Mamistvalov, head of the Department of Public Diplomacy of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, handed over diplomas and medals from the Union of Israeli Veterans to the Jewish Community of the Republic of Moldova.

Due to the epidemiological situation, the organization of the festive event was not possible. Therefore, Raisa Bezinover, a volunteer of the “Origins of Mercy” project, volunteered to deliver certificates and medals home to our elderly friends. The presentation of the awards aligned with the celebration of Rosh Hashanah, so the visit of the volunteer sparked even greater joy.
