Memory Tree Campaign

In Vitebsk, a campaign to improve the memorial site was held as part of the project "Preserving Memory – A Path to the Future."

As part of the "Preserving Memory – A Path to the Future" initiative, the second volunteer campaign "Memory Tree" took place in Vitebsk. The event focused on enhancing the "Monument to the Victims of the Vitebsk Ghetto" memorial. Volunteers from our center joined forces with the "Svet" volunteer group from the Faculty of Social Pedagogy and Psychology of Masherov VSU, supported by the Tulovsky Village Executive Committee. A total of 10 participants took part in the campaign.

During the event, the young volunteers planted 14 small trees, which became symbols of our generation’s remembrance of past tragedies. Altogether, volunteers have planted 34 trees across various memorial burial sites throughout the campaign.

We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who participated in this campaign. Honoring the memory of our ancestors helps ensure that such horrific tragedies will never be repeated!
