Hanukkah Week 5784
From December 7 to 15, the Jewish world celebrates the brightest of all Jewish holidays.
From December 7 to 15, Jews worldwide celebrate the wonderful holiday of Hanukkah, reminding us that light can dispel even the densest darkness. Our beneficiaries eagerly await the arrival of Hanukkah each year, during which various activities are organized. This year, volunteers made sure that our elderly beneficiaries could observe all the holiday traditions.
Hesed volunteers provided beneficiaries with Hanukkah candles, the light of which should illuminate the festive days, serving as an important symbol of Hanukkah. Additionally, each representative of the older generation received delicious doughnuts, lovingly prepared by our volunteer Larisa Shapovalova. This tasty gift took a worthy place on the festive table.
Another important pre-holiday initiative of the volunteers was the release of the "Hesed Bulletin," which contains all the information related to the holiday: its history, prayers, recipes for Hanukkah dishes, holiday dates, and candle lighting rules.
We thank the volunteers for their valuable contribution to maintaining traditions among the members of our community! Your efforts are priceless, and your willingness to help those in need deserves sincere admiration!
