Day of the Peoples of the Middle Urals

The 26 national communities of Yekaterinburg gathered in Taganskaya Sloboda Park to traditionally share their culture with the city's residents and guests.

The 26 national communities of Yekaterinburg gathered in Taganskaya Sloboda Park to traditionally share their culture with the city's residents and guests. This year, volunteers chose a format in which they presented the Jewish community through the history of its foundation.

At the venue, visitors could familiarize themselves with buildings associated with the history of the Jewish community and participate in workshops dedicated to the activities of its founders and well-known members.

Every year, the question arises of how to explain to visitors why the Jewish national costume may be simple clothing, but it is important to adhere to the laws of modesty.

This year, volunteers decided to simplify this task by presenting a specially designed collection of clothing as part of the "Kosher Style" project. The goal was to show that the Jewish costume can be current and modern.

In addition, volunteers participated in the concert program of the "Day" and performed modified versions of "Hallelujah" and "Min Hameitzar."
