A Celebration for Volunteers
Volunteers from the Community attended the National Cultures Festival in Grodno
Volunteer work is associated with many challenges and requires immense emotional commitment. Volunteers are human too, and they can get tired or experience emotional burnout. Therefore, it is very important to alternate demanding volunteer work with pleasant moments that can recharge and inspire new achievements. This year, the volunteers from our center were fortunate to participate in a wonderful celebration—the Republican National Cultures Festival.
The Republican National Cultures Festival is held in Grodno once every two years. It is a celebration that unites nations with the ideas of kindness and peace while also showcasing the treasures of national art. The festival is accompanied by fascinating events designed to highlight the colorful features of different cultures and attract public interest.
Our volunteers represented our people at the Jewish courtyard, where they conducted workshops for children and adults, shared information about our community and Jewish traditions with visitors, and engaged with colleagues from other cities in Belarus, as well as with everyone interested in our culture! Thanks to a vibrant and engaging presentation, many festival attendees learned a lot about the cultural traditions of the Jewish people!
