The "Healthy Breakfast" Project
The primary goal of the Healthy Breakfast project is to provide healthy food assistance to elderly individuals at risk within the community.
Healthy Breakfast is a social volunteer project aimed at assisting low-income elderly community members by providing them with a monthly food basket, allowing elderly clients from at-risk groups to start their day with a nutritious and nourishing breakfast from April to December.
Each month, 50 elderly clients will receive a beneficial food basket consisting of the most significant breakfast items to kickstart every day!
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and if it is rich in healthy fats, protein, fiber, and superfoods, the body will have enough resources for a lively day. This year's concept will help maintain the health of the elderly for the entire day and throughout the year.
The main idea of the project is to partner with local producers of fresh vegetables and fruits, factories and manufacturers of cereals and canned goods, branded healthy stores, and nutrition experts.
Project participants receive:
- Once a month - a food box filled with various healthy products for breakfast preparation
- Once a month - an online meeting with a nutritionist and breakfast recipes
- Once a year - participation in the "Cooking Together" project - the final event
- Once a year - the opportunity to participate in the EcoLocal fair
- Three times a year - the opportunity to participate in a brunch with culinary influencers and chefs
- One brochure - receiving a brochure with useful breakfasts for the entire week.
Expected project outcomes:
- 50 project beneficiaries - elderly individuals
- 450 delivered food sets, consisting of a beneficial food basket that allows for the creation of various breakfasts
- 9 educational meetings on healthy eating.
