Leadership Circle

The Leadership Circle project has become a key stage in developing leadership within the Bishkek community.

Do you think leadership is an innate quality? Our new project, Leadership Circle, is designed to prove otherwise and show that leaders are made, not born. Through this project, we aim to cultivate local leaders and their teams, who will be able to implement volunteer initiatives independently, without external supervision.

At the project meeting, 15 participants not only discussed what leadership means but also acquired concrete skills essential for real leaders, such as taking responsibility, building team collaboration, and acting for the benefit of the community. Each participant became part of an initiative team that independently defined the goal, audience, and format of their future activities. Mentors guided the process, providing space for independent decision-making, trial and error—an essential part of becoming a true leader.

Here are some of the project ideas proposed by Leadership Circle participants, taking into account both their interests and the needs of our community:

Each group developed its own mini action plan, identified resources, and began implementing their ideas.

The next step for Leadership Circle members will be the creation of an “Initiative Map”—a community platform for coordinating local projects, exchanging ideas, and sharing resources between cities. This map will serve as a space for collaboration and mutual support, where every idea can find backing, partners, and growth opportunities.
