How It Works

The "How It Works?" project by the Volunteer Center's children's department is aimed at educating children aged 9 to 12.

The "How It Works?" project is designed to teach real-world sciences and develop practical skills and abilities in children aged 9-12.

Project Description:

Within the project, both offline and online (during the pandemic) classes are held in chemistry, physics, mathematics, biology, and astronomy. Under the guidance of volunteers, children study 4-5 topics in each subject. Practical classes are also held where children participate in simple experiments using safe components (such as baking soda and vinegar).

Project Goals:

  • Educate children in real-world subjects
  • Facilitate children's socialization
  • Impart useful life skills to participants
  • Develop communication skills in children
  • Create an engaging environment for children

Role of Volunteers:

  • Informing about the project and inviting participants
  • Preparing theoretical lessons for the project
  • Preparing and conducting practical experiments
  • Creating a positive and engaging atmosphere during lessons to facilitate learning

Project Results:

  • Increased knowledge levels among participants
  • Creation of a platform for useful and interesting activities for children
  • Fostering an interest in learning among participants
  • Improved communication between children
