Workshop “My Hanukkiah”

Volunteers and children created postcards and hanukkiot that will warm the homes they travel to.

During these Hanukkah days, our center became a place where the holiday could be felt especially brightly. This year, our volunteers prepared several creative workshops for the youngest guests of the center.

The first creative workshop, “Hanukkah Postcards,” took place on December 16. During the session, children created Hanukkah cards: inventing stories, choosing details, experimenting with shapes and colors, and adding festive symbols along with their own little “secrets” — warm words, patterns, glitter, and smiles left on paper. The children chatted enthusiastically and proudly showed their creations to one another. The workshop ended on a cozy note with a shared tea party and Hanukkah doughnuts.

The second creative workshop, “My Hanukkiah,” was held on December 18. This time, the children made beautiful Hanukkah candle holders, using their imagination and sharing creative inspiration with each other. And once again, the evening concluded with a favorite and traditional treat — Hanukkah doughnuts.

We sincerely thank everyone who was with us during these Hanukkah days: the children — for their sincerity, bold ideas, and inspiration; and the parents — for their involvement, support, and trust. May the postcards and hanukkiot created by the children warm the homes they go to and serve as a reminder of shared time, warmth, and togetherness.
