Work of a Madrich Volunteer
Every Sunday the volunteer passes on the knowledge of Jewish tradition to teenagers
Educating teenagers is one of the main tasks of our community, and our madrichim provide enormous help in this matter. One of them, Leonid Malyshkin, meets with the teens every Sunday to share his experience of attending the BBYO Kallah camp in Pennsylvania, USA. Leonid participated in the program from July 15 to August 5 this year and gladly shares his impressions and new knowledge with the teenagers.

The Kallah program allows participants to deeply immerse themselves in the subject of Judaism, to get acquainted with traditions and perspectives on various issues. At the camp, participants developed their spiritual side, studied different theories and teachers. They also learned sacred songs, examined stereotypes about men, about faith, the laws of war, the hunt for Jewish monsters, and the theory of soul correction. They explored different types of Passover Seders and became familiar with the culture and traditions of Israel.

Now Leonid passes all this knowledge on to our teens. Every Sunday at Hesed he conducts sessions with them, where the teenagers eagerly study foreign experiences, discuss, debate, and open new horizons for themselves. We are very glad that our youth had the opportunity to touch the global Jewish knowledge and become closer to their roots! We thank our madrich for helping to educate the younger generation!
