"Welcome Picnic: Volunteer Gathering in Chisinau"

On May 19, a "Welcome Picnic" event was held in Dendrarium Park, gathering over 70 volunteers, both experienced and those just starting their activities. This event was a great opportunity for getting acquainted, exchanging experiences, and gaining new knowledge in the field of volunteering.

Participants attended sessions with four invited speakers, each sharing valuable knowledge and experience. The topics covered various aspects of volunteering:

• "Volunteering as a Path to Self-Development"

• "Volunteering as a Motivational Resource"

• "How to Adapt to New Situations: A Practical Workshop"

• "Creating Social Projects"

The speakers included Mariyana Zaretskaya, a psychologist and psychotherapist, an associate professor of the International Association for the Development of Symbol Drama, Lyudmila Semina-Gitsu, a psychologist and business trainer, Tanya Matveychuk, a coach and instructor in mindfulness and authentic communication practices, and Ekaterina Labunets, RVC coordinator.

The event's program included not only educational sessions but also many other activities:

• Introduction to RVC projects and discussion of the center's open vacancies. Volunteers learned about current projects and opportunities to join them.

• Team building and informal communication. Participants had the chance to get to know each other better, contributing to the creation of a friendly and cohesive team.

• Picnic and active outdoor games. These activities made the day unforgettable, allowing participants to enjoy the fresh air and charge up with positive emotions.

The "Welcome Picnic" allowed volunteers to spend time in an informal setting and simply relax. They could forget about everyday tasks and problems and just enjoy the moment, communicating with like-minded people.

It is especially important to note the participation of senior volunteers who also want and are ready to be part of the volunteer center. Their experience and willingness to help inspire young participants and show that volunteering has no age limits.

The "Welcome Picnic" became an excellent platform for exchanging experiences, learning, and forming new connections. Such events help strengthen the volunteer community and motivate further achievements and success.
