Volunteer Training for Children
Trainings for volunteers strengthen engagement and teamwork within the community.
December brought joy to both adults and young members of our community. We held two interconnected training sessions aimed at building a sustainable volunteer community and developing key skills for effective and mindful volunteering.
The “Steps of Volunteering” training for teenagers and adults focused on building trust and team cohesion. Through interactive exercises, participants learned to connect with others, support each other, and make collaborative decisions.
The “Step by Step to Success” (AJT Junior) session for children aged 6–12 was an important introduction to Jewish and volunteer values. Young volunteers learned essential skills through play, including attention to detail, coordination, self-confidence, and teamwork.
The training programs were practice-oriented and experiential, providing a psychologically safe environment where participants could develop communication, empathy, collaboration, and personal responsibility skills, applying them to real-life situations.
These trainings are part of a long-term strategy to expand the volunteer community by unlocking children’s potential and sustaining adults’ commitment to volunteering.
