Volunteer action "Bring Joy" for Purim
Not so long ago in the Republican Volunteer Center the action "Bring Joy" was held, timed to coincide with the holiday of Purim.
As part of the campaign, we were able to please 40 children from risk groups with sweets: 25 children from large, low-income families and 15 refugee children from Ukraine. In addition to RVC volunteers and guests of JCC KEDEM, local companies producing sweet products actively joined the action. So, Tidbit donated nut butters and boxes of chocolate, Vis donated jam, Granoleya donated granola, and Pastas donated organic spreads. Istanbul Bazaar provided Turkish sweets. Panilino prepared muffins and La mamuca made pretzels. Jewish Kindergarten No. 68 contributed in the form of sweets, cookies, marmalade, etc.
Thanks to the general assistance, we managed to collect more than 95 kilograms of sweets for children, which made it possible to compile a variety of sweet and, not least, useful gift sets. The sets were collected and handed over to the children on March 7th at a Gatsby themed Purim party. That evening, the children came in bright outfits, had fun and participated in various stations, which our logistics volunteers helped to prepare. At the stations, master classes were held on making masks, rattles, and children also solved puzzles for the Purim holiday. Thus, the children got acquainted with the history of Purim and learned why this holiday is so important for the Jewish people. The participants went home happy, with pleasant gifts and vivid emotions that they will remember for a long time to come.
We express our deep gratitude to our partners who did not remain indifferent and contributed to such a kind and important action - Panilino, Tidbit, Pastas, La mamuca, Istanbul Bazaar, Granoleya, Vis, Jewish Kindergarten No. 68.
