The theatrical project started the new season with three premieres at the "Festival of Contemporary Jewish Culture."
There was a presentation of a sketch for a play based on Gur Koren's work "Five Kilos of Sugar." This is the second presentation of a play from the "Anthology of Modern Israeli Drama," a collaboration between the Menora Foundation and the Center for Contemporary Dramaturgy.
Just like the previous time, actors and volunteers from the "Volunteer League" participated in the play reading. In the sketch of the play, professional actors Sergey and Svetlana Kolesov also took part alongside the volunteers.
The presentation of the sketch is supported by the Embassy of the State of Israel in the Russian Federation.
There was also the premiere of the documentary play "Not from Yekaterinburg." It is a documentary play about the history of the city, its creative citizens, and us—those who live in Yekaterinburg today.
What is Yekaterinburg to us? This question is answered by the artists together with the audience. All of them are participants in the documentary project, and, of course, volunteers from the "League" act as artists.
