The Warmth of Hands and Hearts
During the holiday season, active seniors of the Jewish community held a series of charity fairs
During the festive days, 12 active seniors of the Jewish community organized the “Fair of Kindness” – a series of exhibitions and sales, the main feature of which was that all the items on display were handmade by the volunteers themselves.

Visitors of the fair had the opportunity to purchase knitted items, souvenirs and resin jewelry, original paintings, delicate beaded accessories, fragrant handmade soap, and decoupage-decorated crafts. Each piece was unique, carrying the warmth of the creator’s hands and a piece of their soul.
The skills the volunteers used to prepare their handmade goods for the fair were greatly enhanced through classes and workshops at the Rimon Jewish Community Center, where they learned different handicraft techniques, shared experiences, found inspiration, and honed their craft. The Rimon Center became not only a place of learning but also a space for communication, creativity, and self-expression.

The fairs took place in different clubs of the Rimon Community Center, bringing together generations: Tzairim (club for active seniors), the youth club, the Day Center, and the Young Family club. This allowed for a wide audience and drew attention to the importance of volunteerism and mutual support. All proceeds were directed toward funding additional hours for home care program workers. Thus, everyone who bought something at the fair contributed to improving the quality of life for those who need it most.

The “Fair of Kindness” became a vivid example of how people united by a common goal can create true miracles.
