The “Day of Kindness” Project is Growing!
A Program to Support Elderly Hesed Clients: Care, Initiative, Results
The Day of Kindness project is a source of pride for our center. One of this year’s major achievements is that the project’s initiatives were implemented without JDC funding. At the same time, the list of services available to beneficiaries has expanded, significantly improving the quality of life for the elderly clients of Hesed for whom the project is designed.
Active volunteer participation has helped meet the essential needs of our beneficiaries. The number of recipients of food packages has increased by four, and the range of volunteer support now goes beyond delivery. Volunteers also accompany elderly clients to important social locations such as stores, clinics, and other essential places.
According to the volunteer programs coordinator, Zoya Brovkina, the real impact of the participants’ efforts is tangible. Elderly clients receive the crucial assistance they need to handle important everyday tasks, which greatly improves their quality of life. We thank all the volunteers of the Day of Kindness project and wish the initiative continued growth!
