The 10th Good Deeds Day
12,090 volunteers, 350 actions, thousands of smiles, and one big heart!
Since 2016, the Republican Volunteer Center has been the official representative of the DoingGood movement in Moldova. This year, on May 11, the anniversary Good Deeds Day took place across Moldova, uniting hundreds of partner organizations and dozens of towns and villages — from Anenii Noi to Fălești, from Comrat to Bălți. The event involved 12,090 volunteers who carried out 350 volunteer actions, donating 48,360 volunteer hours to those in need across 121 localities in the Republic of Moldova, together with 250 partner organizations. In total, 125,775 beneficiaries received volunteer assistance.

he official opening ceremony began with a greeting from Hannah Wojno, Director of Good Deeds Day International: “It’s a great honor for me to be here with you today in Chișinău as we celebrate the 10th Good Deeds Day together.”
After a warm-up full of positive energy, volunteers eagerly got to work. Each person was able to choose the type of help that suited them best. The most popular directions included:
- Ecology (tree planting, park cleanups, etc.) – 108 actions
- Urban infrastructure improvement – 98 projects
- Aid to those in need – 34 actions helping the elderly and 33 actions for at-risk children
In addition, volunteers organized dozens of creative workshops, healthy lifestyle activities, and initiatives in schools, hospitals, and libraries. The event covered a wide area: 72 actions were carried out in Chișinău, 30 in Criuleni, and 20 in each of the following: Cahul, Dondușeni, and Orhei. In Bălți, Drochia, Cantemir, Ungheni, and many other regions, local initiative groups organized good deeds tailored to the needs and specificities of their communities. They set up bus stops and parks, spent time with children in need of care and attention, and distributed humanitarian aid.

“I’m so happy to have taken part in the 10th Anniversary Good Deeds Day — especially since it’s also my 10th year of volunteering! I’m overwhelmed with pride and fulfillment because I can truly help people and share my warmth with those I care for!” — Antonina Pizhevskaya, Good Deeds Day volunteer.
We must give special thanks to our wonderful partners, without whom such a large-scale event would not have been possible. We thank the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova — the strategic partner of the event, the National Youth Agency — the informational partner of Good Deeds Day, the partners of the JDC Moldova open actions, as well as dozens of companies, media representatives, and agencies who believed in the power of volunteering and supported us with resources, attention, and trust.

“When we first joined the initiative, we were thinking about the format — actions, volunteers, logistics. But it quickly became clear: it's not just about one day, but about the choice we can make every day. That’s why at PSY PROF we believe: Good Deeds Day is just the beginning. And the habit of being kind, attentive, and compassionate every day — that’s what makes us human and changes society from within.” — Adelle Beschetnikova and Lyudmila Syomina-Gitsu, co-founders of the PSY PROF Psychological Educational Center — participants and partners of Good Deeds Day since 2016.
Thank you to everyone who took part in the anniversary Good Deeds Day! Although the event has ended, volunteer initiatives continue every day!
