Support and Mutual Aid
Creative and warm Meeting for People with Visual Impairments
The pre-Shabbat meeting for people with visual impairments became a truly special and meaningful event, held in a warm and welcoming environment. This gathering was organized to create a comfortable space where people with disabilities could freely communicate, receive helpful information, and feel part of a larger, supportive community.
During the meeting, attendees enjoyed an engaging lecture on the beauty of Israel, which resonated with many. Representatives from the Belarusian Society for the Blind (BelTIZ) were also present and shared valuable information about the services and benefits available through their organization. They answered questions and provided insights on how their support can improve the quality of life for people with visual impairments.
The evening’s atmosphere was uplifted by a performance from the "Hasdey David" choir. Volunteers were on hand throughout the event, ensuring that everyone felt comfortable and at ease, creating a homely and friendly atmosphere. This meeting became a symbol of mutual support, showing that every person, regardless of their physical abilities, deserves attention and care.
