Purim in Tashkent
Volunteers organized several events for the joyous holiday of Purim.
The volunteers of the Tashkent center organized several wonderful events dedicated to the long-awaited holiday of Purim. On March 24th, 26th, and 31st, the beneficiaries of the center were filled with positive emotions and acquired new useful skills!
On March 24th, as part of the "Good Deeds" project, volunteer Rasima Yagudina conducted an exciting quest for children dedicated to Purim. During the quest, the children embarked on a journey through time from dinosaurs to the present day. They eagerly completed tasks and solved puzzles. There was also physical activity - the children ran and jumped, demonstrating agility and enjoying movement.
An important educational moment was the screening of a film about the history of the formation of the State of Israel, after which the children were asked quiz questions. Then the children made boxes for mishloach manot and participated in a contest for the best costume. The children were very happy with how they spent their time. Purim for the little ones was bright and joyful, as tradition requires!
On March 26th, participants in the "Culinary Workshop" project joined the magic of Purim and lovingly prepared the traditional holiday treat, hamantaschen. The cookies were filled with various fillings, and the aroma of fresh baking spread throughout the center, making even those who do not like sweets dream of this delicacy! Delicious "Haman's Ears" were intended for the clients of the Tashkent Hesed and soon took a worthy place on their festive table.
On March 31st, as part of the "Jewish Renaissance" project, our elderly beneficiaries were able to learn more about the customs and traditions of the holiday, and also watched several interesting videos about the significance of Purim in the life of the Jewish people. At the end of the event, the participants enjoyed a master class on painting plates with Purim and spring motifs. After that, those present enjoyed festive treats and heartfelt conversations.
We thank our volunteers for their creativity and willingness to create a festive atmosphere for every member of the community! Hag Purim Sameach!
