Private restaurant for Tu B'Av
Tu B'Av is one of the most important holidays in the Jewish calendar. It is celebrated on the 15th day of the month of Av.
On August 4th, a meeting took place in the direction of "Istoki Miloserdia" (Origins of Mercy) for the elderly and volunteers of the Republican Volunteer Center. This gathering, dedicated to the Jewish holiday of Tu B'Av, was organized in collaboration with the youth platform "Haverim" ("Friends") under the theme of a "Private Restaurant." The goal of the meeting was to bring generations together and foster mutual acquaintance.
Tu B'Av is one of the most significant holidays in the Jewish calendar. It falls on the 15th day of the month of Av and commemorates the reuniting of two Jewish kingdoms – Israel and Judah. The holiday is also celebrated as a day of love and marriage.
During the meeting, participants welcomed Shabbat, recalled the history and traditions of the holiday, collectively read articles and new chapters from the online journal "Love Stories," and in an informal atmosphere, shared stories about when and where they first encountered or experienced true love.
The meeting was warm and heartfelt. Participants had the opportunity to get to know each other better, share stories from their lives, and find common topics for conversation. Everyone left with great satisfaction and expressed hope for continued collaboration within the project.
We thank all the participants for taking part in this meaningful event. We hope that this evening marks the beginning of a lasting and strong friendship between generations.
