Passover Week of Events
Volunteers carefully prepare each meeting to celebrate Passover with elderly community members in a festive way
The Passover holiday week became for many members of the community an excellent opportunity not only to broaden their horizons, but also to communicate in an online format. Alongside traditional offline events, our volunteers organized several thematic meetings in which community members who, for various reasons, were unable to physically attend our center were also able to participate.
The first meeting was dedicated to the history and traditions of Passover. Participants together recalled the story of the Exodus, discussed the traditions of the holiday, listened to familiar songs, and joyfully sang along. Although everyone was at home, the warm atmosphere and friendly communication provided a strong boost of positive emotions and left a pleasant feeling of personal involvement in a shared cause.
Volunteers from Chisinau, Bălți, and Tiraspol also organized an online Passover Seder, during which guests not only went through all the traditional stages of the Seder but also took part in a quiz where they recalled the Ten Plagues, whose images were virtuously generated by AI with the help of Tiraspol volunteers. This event resonated deeply in the hearts of elderly and less mobile members of our community, who gladly and gratefully took advantage of the opportunity to immerse themselves in the vivid atmosphere of the holiday.
Our volunteers place great emphasis on preparing online events. They develop engaging scripts, create presentations, and select musical accompaniment. Modern technologies and artificial intelligence come to their aid, making any event even more engaging and interactive. Most importantly, such meetings are accessible to everyone and can significantly improve the quality of life for people with limited social contact and communication. And many more exciting things lie ahead!
