One of the most important Jewish traditions was honored in Bryansk

Volunteers held a campaign to clean the Jewish cemetery "Zikaron"

Community Charity Center "Hesed Tikva" in Bryansk held an important volunteer campaign - cleaning at the Jewish cemetery "Zikaron".

A team of 22 volunteers managed to clean up almost half of the Jewish site, which is about 50 burial sites! They removed dry branches, foliage and garbage, washed matzeva (tombstones).

"Over the years, names and surnames are faded away, paths to burial sites are grassed, and someone even has the effrontery to destroy or desecrate monuments. However, we, the Jews of the community, should not allow the complete desolation of the cemetery with our work. Deep down, I believe that someone will also take care of the graves of my relatives. It's great to feel this unity!", the volunteer Elena shared.
