Long-Awaited Meeting
Meeting Between Community Cities for Experience Exchange in the "Volunteer School" Project
For successful community work, the exchange of experiences plays a significant role, and Belarusian volunteers fully agree with this. To communicate with colleagues, a meeting of members from Vitebsk and Minsk centers was organized in December. This event had been planned for a long time and became a long-awaited occasion for all participants.
The meeting was scheduled for just one day, but it turned out to be very rich and vibrant. Participants from Minsk arrived in the morning, and their Vitebsk colleagues made sure to fill the upcoming day with bright encounters and interesting communication.
As part of the cultural program, volunteers visited the Marc Chagall Museum and two synagogues in Vitebsk. Then, the participants were able to discuss pressing issues of volunteering, exchange experiences in conducting masterclasses, create an aroma lamp, and participate in a quiz from Kesher and a Hanukkah quiz.
At the end of the event, participants presented each other with wonderful gifts, but the most vivid impressions were left by shared childhood memories and meetings with old and new acquaintances! Volunteers had a lot to talk about and remember!
Participants noted the warm, family atmosphere in which the meeting took place. Bright impressions and new knowledge became an excellent result of the interaction of members of the large Jewish community. Volunteers expressed hope that such meetings would become regular!
