First meet-up was hosted on 27th of January as part of the week dedicated to the memorial retention of the victims of Holocaust. Volunteers and elderly participated in this event. Representatives of the “Librarius” bookstore has gifted books that became a part of the reserve fund of the Manger’s library. Soon enough, our volunteers will be able to use them for the “Literary evening” project.
It is important to notice the potential of the project, as it can cover every topic under the sun, especially those of current interest that almost ask to be discussed. As a part of this project we want to bring generations together and transmit the traditions and history of Jewish nation.
In the current state, “Literary evening” is at the beginning of its journey, but we already plan to develop and enlarge the format of the project. We plan to make video-reviews of different books for the internet resources of RVC, host online meet-ups with the elderly, delivering books to the doorsteps, as well as event that will target the renewal of the reserve fund of the library, like “Gift your book” project.
