Healthy Food Basket Brunch
On December 26, an inspiring brunch brought together clients and volunteers of the project to prepare healthy dishes together.
The Healthy Food Basket project was created to support well-being through proper nutrition. But nutrition is just one step toward health — other habits, such as staying active and paying attention to yourself, are equally important. While many people know the theory, it often isn’t applied in practice. To bridge this gap, we hosted an inspiring brunch for clients and volunteers of the project.
The event took place on December 26 at our center. Guest nutritionist Kamilla Faizrakhmanova shared accessible and useful information about healthy eating, answered participants’ questions, and helped them understand how to care for their health through food — without extremes or complicated rules, but through mindfulness and balance.
Volunteers prepared healthy dishes together, following the nutritionist’s recommendations. The result of their joint efforts included a herb cream cheese roulade, a fresh seasonal vegetable salad, a vitamin-rich salad, and cheese-and-vegetable canapés. Clients and volunteers enjoyed the finished dishes together at a late breakfast in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
We thank Kamilla for her valuable knowledge and contribution to the project, and we also thank all volunteers for their care, involvement, and willingness to create good deeds together. Events like this remind us that health is supported not only by proper nutrition but also by people ready to share their knowledge and offer their help.
