Hanukkah Week
In December, a Hanukkah Week was held for members of the Pavlodar community.
Hanukkah is one of the most beloved and eagerly awaited holidays, bringing with it a spirit of resilience and hope. In the lead-up to this wonderful celebration, volunteers from the BeYahad unit carried out numerous charitable initiatives for those in their care.
To bring joy to the community’s clients, a culinary workshop was organized for the volunteers, where they learned how to make delicious doughnuts. During the workshop, volunteers not only mastered the recipe but also prepared treats for 30 clients, which were later delivered to them personally.
Our young volunteers created bright, heartfelt cards with wishes for a joyful Hanukkah, warmth, happiness, and hope. For representatives of the older generation, volunteers hosted a festive gathering at the club featuring an entertainment program and traditional treats—Hanukkah doughnuts.
On the eve of the eighth day of Hanukkah, children and adults came together to light the eighth candle. Afterwards, participants took part in an exciting Hanukkah-themed quest: answering quiz questions, practicing archery, and presenting a small Hanukkah performance. At the end of the event, everyone received a Hanukkah gift. The celebration concluded with tea and doughnuts lovingly prepared by the volunteers.
We thank our volunteers for their kindness, dedication, and support of those in need!
