Hanukkah Awards Ceremony
Following the results of 2025, the Volunteer Center from Almaty became a prize winner of an international award.
The year 2025 became truly special for the Volunteer Center Magen HaTov in Almaty. At the end of the year, our center was awarded 2nd place among the nominees for the international Marshall Weinberg Award. In total, 13 Volunteer Centers from Kazakhstan, Moldova, Ukraine, and Kyrgyzstan competed for the prize. It is no surprise that winning 2nd place became a great joy and honor for us!
To achieve this result, we worked very hard throughout the year. During the Awards Ceremony, the jury recognized our bold and innovative approach to organizing volunteer activities, where volunteers become full participants in projects and help shape their direction. They also highlighted the significant funds raised through volunteer initiatives, particularly through the “Charity Fair” project in 2025.
At the January volunteer meeting, the director of the Hesed center in Almaty, Inessa Chugaynova, thanked all participants for their contribution, summarized the results of the year, and presented plans for 2026.
We sincerely thank our volunteers for their active contribution to the development of the volunteer movement in our country!
