Good Deeds Day Moldova has been uniting people in the effort to create positive changes in our society for many years. This year, 9900 volunteers from 125 towns across the country joined the charitable efforts, representing 250 organizations and institutions.

A total of 255 activities were implemented aimed at improving the environmental situation, assisting children and families at risk, supporting elderly people and animals, improving urban infrastructure, informational campaigns, as well as activities dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle, education, and preserving cultural heritage.

The most popular areas of assistance this year were: ecology - 80 activities, activities in educational institutions - 31, assistance to children and families at risk - 30 volunteer actions. Most of the activities were organized in the municipality of Chisinau - 72 activities, and 21 activities took place in the Falesti district, addressing various societal needs.

At the official opening of Good Deeds Day 2024, we solemnly greeted all participants and partners. Nikolay Raylyan - Director of JCC KEDEM programs, CEO of RVC, director of the organizing committee of GDD in Moldova, and Yulia Barbanyagre - RVC manager and leader of Good Deeds Day in Moldova - Representatives of partner organizations expressed their wishes to volunteers and supported their initiatives for upcoming actions:

As a token of appreciation, we awarded diplomas to all partners whose support made the event possible. Before each volunteer action, a good warm-up is necessary! The team of the Haverim youth platform helped everyone get in a good mood with dances for the whole day!

From 10:00 to 17:00, various events took place across the country: from collecting recyclables to organizing feeding events for children and assisting in nursing homes for the elderly. The pedestrian street was also filled with activities: creative workshops (attended by 150 children), blood donation drives (76 people donated blood), HIV testing (178 tests), and fun activities for children from Party Store animators. After the volunteer action, all Chisinau volunteers received lunch boxes from Pegas Terrace & Restaurant to replenish their strength before closing. In the evening, volunteers were awarded diplomas, and coordinators and logisticians received gratitude from the entire organizing committee team of Good Deeds Day. This day was a bright reminder that each of us can be a hero by doing good. Thanks to everyone who joined this unforgettable event!

In addition to the Good Deeds Day 2024 events, we are pleased to announce the launch of an online competition for organizations in Moldova, which will give non-governmental organizations, public institutions, and initiative groups the opportunity to demonstrate their volunteer activities. Participants must prepare and post videos of their actions on TikTok with the hashtag #ZiuaFaptelorBune2024 and tag the @rvc.center account.

Follow the competition from April 29 to May 12, 2024. And on May 15, the RVC team will evaluate all the works that meet the competition conditions. The organization whose video gathers the most likes will be awarded. This is a unique opportunity to demonstrate the significance of volunteer work and its impact on society.
