Good Deeds Day in Almaty

For Good Deeds Day, volunteers organized an initiative to improve the Hesed children’s playground.

Volunteers from Almaty became active participants in Good Deeds Day, alongside thousands of other volunteers around the world. As part of the “Yom Hamishi” project, they restored and improved the walking playground belonging to the Hesed. Several cans of paint and painting brushes were purchased to make this beloved space brighter and more welcoming.

The playground is a place where kindergarten children and kids from the after-school program spend a lot of time. That is why the volunteers of the “Yom Hamishi” project, led by Vladimir Rybakov, strive to maintain perfect order there: in summer they moisten the ground covering and sand in the sandbox, in autumn they clean fallen leaves, in winter they remove snow, and in spring they plant blooming flowers and repaint surfaces to make the playground attractive and comfortable for children.

This year, thanks to the volunteers’ efforts, children will be able to spend time on the playground enjoying not only fun games, but also a comfortable environment created for them by representatives of the older generation. We thank all the volunteers who took part in the initiative and look forward to many more meaningful activities ahead!
