Festive Grocery Delivery
20 Years of Kedem Jacobs JCC: A Celebration We Shared with Those Who Need It Most
An anniversary is a meaningful milestone—for both individuals and organizations. This year, Kedem Jacobs JCC turned 20, and the volunteers from our center decided to mark the occasion by giving back to those who need care and attention the most. This good deed, among many others, became a small stream of kindness that, together with others, forms a powerful river of ongoing support.
As part of the Healthy Food Basket project, a grocery delivery was organized for elderly residents of Chișinău. In total, volunteers managed to deliver 70 packages filled with fresh fruits and vegetables. It took 4 hours and the dedicated efforts of 16 volunteers—ready as always to lend a hand. Their main motivation? The desire to extend the celebration beyond the walls of Kedem and bring it into the homes of those who often live in social isolation due to age or health issues.
Partners of the initiative included:
- Green Shop, which donated 420 kg of fresh fruits and vegetables, allowing each package to be filled with truly nutritious, high-quality contents.
- PsyProf, who prepared beautifully designed greeting cards with heartfelt messages for our beneficiaries. These small notes made each gift feel personal and special.

The Healthy Food Basket project continues its mission of providing essential food support to elderly individuals, reminding them how important our care and attention truly are. When the efforts of volunteers, partners, and an entire team of like-minded people come together, the power of community knows no bounds!
Happy Anniversary, Kedem Jacobs JCC — and may every good deed not just mark a date on the calendar, but be remembered for genuine human connection!
