This year, on the eighth day of good deeds, organized by the Republican Volunteer Center RVC in partnership with Good Deeds Day, 180 volunteer actions of help and kindness were held, not only in Chisinau, but throughout the country - in 79 localities of the Republic of Moldova! On this day, 4930 volunteers came together and helped 122085 beneficiaries, collecting as many as 19720 volunteer hours IN JUST ONE DAY!

All this would not have been possible without our partners, who have made an invaluable contribution to the support and organization of this day in our country. We want to express our deep gratitude to the general partners and those who made a great contribution to the organization of the event: the Orhei Vit company - VITA, the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova, the advertising agency - EpaMedia and JDC Volunteer Community. It's easy to start doing good deeds! The most important thing is to take the first step, and from year to year Good Deeds Day becomes the very first step to thousands of volunteers to help them start their journey in the volunteering world. This Sunday, our volunteers showed themselves in a variety of ways. For example, they organized more than 75 teams to clean and beautify parks, forests, kindergartens and schools across the country, held 14 teams dedicated to helping children in educational institutions and hospitals, 15 teams that brightened up the day for the elderly in day centers and nursing homes provided food assistance, etc.

In addition, volunteers landscaped the area by planting trees in 20 districts of the Republic, visited 6 animal shelters, where they fed, cleaned and looked after our smaller brothers. Actions were also organized to promote volunteering, where our volunteers told the residents of the city about what volunteering is, who can do it, where, etc. In one day, our entire country was immersed in an atmosphere of kindness, awareness and mutual assistance. Such events are very important for society, as they help people become more socially responsible and empathic, increasing the level of emotional intelligence and social consciousness!
