Creativity at the Day Center

Volunteers and seniors together develop fine motor skills and train attention

As part of the “Skillful Hands” project, our wonderful volunteer Tatiana held a decoupage master class for the participants. The workshop took place at the Day Center, where the gathered women transformed ordinary cutting boards into real works of art.

The first step was to decide on the composition. Then, using glue and simple kitchen napkins, the participants began to bring their creative ideas to life.

“At first it was difficult — the hands wouldn’t listen, everything was sticking, but then you get so carried away! This is a very useful activity for us seniors: both for the fingers and for the head,” one of the participants shared.

Creative workshops are truly loved by the club’s participants. They give a chance to create and enjoy the results, while also helping to develop fine motor skills — which is especially important for people of golden age. We thank our volunteer for a wonderful master class, as well as our participants for their good mood and creative inspiration! See you at the next workshops!
