Charity Flea Market
On March 1, the volunteer team at Hesed in Karaganda organized a charitable initiative.
On March 1, the long-awaited "Flea Market" event took place. Our volunteer team, led by coordinator Victoria Trofimenko, had been preparing for it throughout February. The charity market featured Jewish cuisine prepared by volunteers, as well as paintings, clothing, dishes, and various vintage items. All proceeds were allocated to organizing general clean-ups for the elderly, lonely individuals, people with disabilities, and children with special needs in preparation for Pesach.

To make this charity sale possible, volunteers processed over:
- 50 clothing items,
- 20 accessories,
- 10 dishware items,
- 10 electronic devices,
- and various other objects.
Effective social media promotion and an online preview of the items helped increase pre-sales and significantly expanded visitor engagement. Additionally, the volunteers established connections with other charitable organizations, which will help enrich the selection for future fundraising markets.
Thanks to our dedicated volunteer team—Erika, Irina, Tatyana, Marina, Vladimir, Serafima, and Karina—the "Flea Market" mission was a success! The necessary funds were raised!
"It’s so heartwarming to see people respond to our initiative," shared Victoria Trofimenko. "This isn’t just about fundraising—it’s about bringing joy and care to those in need."
We are incredibly grateful to our active volunteers for their unwavering dedication and invite everyone to join future initiatives of the volunteer center! Together, we can achieve so much!
