"Caring for Health" project
Thanks to the support and funding of JDC, our Hesed now has a modern fruit dryer
Recently, thanks to the support and funding of JDC, Hesed was able to launch a long-term social project aimed at maintaining the health of elderly people and low-income community members. The long-awaited acquisition was a modern fruit dryer.

Now, within the framework of the project, community members who have surplus fruits and berries can bring them to Hesed, where our volunteers process them into healthy dried fruits and distribute them as part of “vitamin kits.” Later, these ready-made sets are delivered to beneficiaries for the Tu BiShvat holiday and also distributed throughout the year to those in need.

This week, our volunteers prepared the first batch of “vitamin dried fruits.” In total, 8 kg of plums and 3 kg of apples, provided by families from our community, were processed. This is a vivid example of how joint efforts can turn a harvest into a source of health and joy for many people.

Thus, our project unites the efforts of community members, engages volunteers, promotes the rational use of resources, and allows everyone to make a personal contribution to a common good cause. We thank everyone who participates in the project, providing real support to those in need!
