Caring for Health

The brunch gathered seniors for whom the topic of balanced nutrition is especially important.

As part of the Healthy Food Basket project, implemented by the Republican Volunteer Center, another meeting took place aimed at sharing essential knowledge about proper nutrition as an effective way of taking care of one’s health. The event was held on July 18 at Bio Cocof Café and brought together members of the older generation, for whom a healthy and balanced diet plays a particularly vital role.

Nutritionists Kamila and Inna prepared two engaging and useful lectures — a guide to healthy living and adjusting one’s diet toward nutritious and balanced eating. During the lecture, everyone had the opportunity to ask questions of interest and interact with other guests in a warm, informal atmosphere.

The participants also joined a fascinating experiment — testing the pH level of water and learning how its composition affects our health and well-being. In addition, the guests tasted fresh vegetables grown directly in the café’s garden and enjoyed a wholesome meal prepared with care. At the end of the meeting, participants warmly thanked the organizers and shared positive feedback.

These gatherings stand out thanks to their unique format: lectures take place in an informal setting with opportunities to taste, observe, and discuss on the spot. This approach makes information more accessible and inspires participants to apply their knowledge in everyday life.

The Healthy Food Basket project continues to grow, bringing together experts, volunteers, and participants who strive for a conscious and active lifestyle.
