Candle of Memory
In Pavlodar, events were held to mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day
For several years now, on January 27, we light a Candle of Memory — a symbol of mourning for the millions of innocent lives lost during the Holocaust. In this way, we preserve the memory of those who perished in that brutal tragedy. Men, elderly people, women, and children — all became innocent victims of Nazism, destroyed by a hatred that must never be forgotten.
This year, events dedicated to International Holocaust Remembrance Day took place throughout the week. One of the most meaningful moments was the “Light the Candle of Memory” campaign, during which everyone could feel connected to this immense human loss.
Online and offline meetings with community members were also held, where participants discussed the importance of love and mutual respect as a safeguard against hatred and Nazism. Preserving memory is important not only for understanding our shared past, but also for protecting our future. As long as we remember these tragic events, we help ensure they are never repeated.
May our homes be filled with respect, kindness, and peace.
We remember. We mourn. We choose the path of kindness and mutual respect.
