Bag Painting Workshop

A master class that not only develops creativity but also fosters social interaction

In October, volunteers from the “Origins of Mercy” project held a wonderful creative workshop for Hesed clients, teaching participants how to paint on tote bags. It’s no secret that this fashionable accessory is popular across generations today, so the opportunity to make it more vibrant and eye-catching generated great interest among attendees.

The workshop began with a detailed explanation of the techniques for applying designs to fabric. Volunteer Tatyana shared tips and secrets on how to choose paints correctly and ensure the artwork remains bright and resistant to wear. Afterward, participants moved on to the practical part of the creative session.

Although the work required focus and patience, our participants greatly enjoyed the creative process. Each person selected a design that appealed to them, chose colors reflecting their inner mood, and combined them to create a unique, beautiful result! Ordinary tote bags were transformed into stylish, vibrant accessories capable of enhancing any outfit. “Now trips to the store will be so much more fun—with a bag this beautiful, my mood will definitely lift!” the participants said with smiles.

The workshop concluded, but the emotions and bright impressions will continue to warm our clients for a long time. Additionally, the skills they learned can be used independently in the future. We sincerely thank our volunteers for their care and dedication to bringing positive experiences to older adults. We look forward to more exciting workshops!
